My phone number isn't receiving calls

1. Do you have a line, and is it on?

Go to Settings → AI Tools → Voice Concierge. You should see your number listed.

  • If it says "No phone lines yet", no number has been provisioned. On Engage or higher you can add one; below that, voice is not part of your plan.
  • If the line shows OFF, switch it on. A line that is off receives neither calls nor texts.

2. Does the number still need paperwork?

If the line shows Docs required, Under review or Rejected, it is not active yet. Numbers outside the US and Canada need regulatory documents approved before they can take calls. Open the badge to submit or correct them.

3. Have you used up your voice minutes?

On a metered plan, once you pass your voice allowance callers hear "Sorry, I can't take calls right now. Please reach us over chat or try again later." and the call ends.

Check Settings → Plan & Billing → Usage this period. If you are at or over your limit, upgrading restores calls.

4. Was the line deleted?

A line you removed is scheduled for release and stops accepting calls immediately, even if it still appears briefly in the list.

If all of the above look fine

The remaining causes are on our side: call routing, provider configuration, or an incomplete setup during provisioning. These cannot be fixed from your dashboard.

Contact TalkRev support and include the phone number, roughly when a test call was made and from which country, and what the caller heard — silence, ringing forever, an error message, or a busy tone. That last detail tells us immediately which part failed.
