Plans, limits and billing

Where to look

Go to Settings → Plan & Billing. It shows your current plan and, on metered plans, a Usage this period section with your voice minutes and chat conversations.

Only the account owner can open this page and manage billing.

Which plans have limits

Most TalkRev plans — Ready, Engage, Rev, Church, and the legal plans — have no metered caps. Limits apply on the Professional pricing:

  • Personal — 250 voice minutes, 500 chat conversations, 1 seat, 1 phone number.
  • Professional — 1,000 voice minutes, 2,500 chat conversations, 3 seats, 1 phone number.

Limits reset each billing period. If you need more than the published limits, contact TalkRev support — allowances can be raised on an account without changing your plan.

What happens as you approach a limit

At 80% of either limit you get a notification. At 100% a banner appears across the dashboard.

What happens when you go over

The two limits behave differently, and the difference matters:

  • Chat conversations — nothing is blocked. Visitors keep chatting and your agent keeps replying. Going over is recorded so you can see it, but your customers are never turned away.
  • Voice minutes — calls are eventually turned away. There is a small grace margin above your limit. Past it, callers hear "Sorry, I can't take calls right now. Please reach us over chat or try again later." and the call ends.

If you are expecting a busy period, upgrade before you reach the voice cap rather than after.

Changing plan

Use the billing portal from Settings → Plan & Billing. Organizations on the Church plan should contact TalkRev support to change plan.

Bear in mind that downgrading can remove features you are using. Moving from Professional to Personal, for example, disconnects Google Calendar automatically.
